"The Prince's Gala: From My Closet to the Runway"

The "Prince's Gala: From My Closet to the Runway" was our most personal show to date. This production incorparated Prince's narration over each scene, which focused on his insecurities and journey to self acceptance.
The personalization continued as several pieces from the runway were pulled directly from Prince's closet. The remaining garments were found at local thrift stores and all looks in totality costs less than $30.
This show is an homage to the Met Gala, which is considered to be the most important night of the year in the fashion world and for the first-time ever, we brought a similar version to Chicago at the Den Theater located in Wicker Park!

"Chicago Fashion Week"
Date: April 23, 2022
Location: Water Tower Place on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.
PoorBoyRichTaste showcased our collection in the 2022 Chicago Fashion Week Spring/Summer's segment, "Modern & Ready2Wear" at the Water Tower Place on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.
This show focused on bringing modern sleek designs to the runway. Attendees were able to experience the cross-fertilization between haute-couture and Ready2Wear fashion focused on showcasing modern edgy designs, vibrant prints, and fresh fabrics with a trend-setting feel.

The "Catwalk District" Fashion Show
Date: August 28, 2021
Location: Lincoln Park Private space
Poor Boy, Rich Taste returned with the production, "The Catwalk District", despite a 2 year hiatus due to the pandemic. This sold-out intimate affair saw a half a dozen models ripping the runway in the following scenes; The Gypsy Woman, Champagne Toast, Gossip Girl + The Glamorous Life.

The "Pose" Fashion Show

Our first summer fashion show! This sold-out event was chalk-full of fashion, dance, theatrics and more than 12 models ripping the runway in designs styled and created by PoorBoyRichTaste & Couture Models Productions.
This event featured 5 runway scenes, which explore sensuality, vulnerability, creativity and a whole lotta sass!

The "Black Women's Expo - 25th Anniversary
Date: April 13, 2019
Location: McCormick Place
PoorBoyRichTaste was secured as a Fashion Producer for the 25th Anniversary show of the Black Women's Expo, which is the nation’s foremost exposition targeting the African American consumer market and is attended by more than 30,000 people.

We styled a collection of 4 scenes that consisted of outfits constructed out of garbage bag, newspaper and stylish looks that cost a total of $25 each.

"The It's a Different World" fashion show is a nod to our favorite childhood show. This show was had more than 5 scenes that showcased our models theatrics, acting skills and killer runway walks.

"A Seat at the Runway" Fashion Show

"The Real Housewives of Chicago" is a one-night only visual escapade into the world of fashion. If you're anything like us and live for a little drama and a sprinkle of "shade" then this is a can't miss event.
Audience members will be engulfed in the experience as they witness more than 20 models showcasing eye-popping designs in a series scenes that includes high-octane theatrics, runway walks, dance and more!

"Life's a Label" Fashion Show

Location: Center on Halsted
Hosted by VH1 Basketball Wives star, Tami Roman, the "Life's a Label" fashion show saw high-couture designs created out of garbage bags, toilet tissue, newspaper and more!
More than 20 talented models ripped the runway in some of today's hottest designs in a series scenes that includes high-octane theatrics, runway walks, dance and more!
